About Us

The principal function of the Association is to provide members with the opportunity to increase their knowledge and understanding of Spain; its history, geography, culture and institutions within a friendly and sociable context,

The Association, which is a non profit making has about 150 members. Most are British nationals, and a large majority are retired.  Members mostly reside in the Javea area, on a full-time or part-time basis, though a sizeable minority are from the surrounding area, for example, Moraira, Benitachell, Gata, Pedreguer, and Jesús Pobre.

All the meetings are conducted in English, and attendance at any individual event is entirely optional.

The programme typically has five components each year - evening meetings,  day trips, longer excursions, cultural and social events
