| Evening meetings. Mondays in January, March, May, September and November at the Rodat Hotel, Javea. The January meeting is the AGM, while others feature a speaker addressing a relevant topic. Talks have included aspects of history, music and culture in Spain. There is an optional dinner at a local restaurant following the meeting. Day trips to places of interest within the region, for example, to Valencia, Xátiva, Simat de Valldigna, Novelda, Elche, and Cartagena. Excursions, twice a year (usually May and October), exploring areas of Spain and lasting for two or three-nights or longer. Excursions over the past years have taken us to Cuenca and Albarracín; Baeza, Úbeda, Córdoba and the Cazorla Natural Park; Santiago de Compostela and Coruña; Toledo and Aranjuez; Peñíscola, Benicarló, Tarragona and Morella; and Seville. Visits to concerts or other musical events in the region, such as at the Palau in Altéa or the Auditorio of Teulada. (once or twice a year) Social events. While there is an opportunity to socialise with fellow members at all our events, some are purely social such as the summer and Christmas lunches. | ||||
